Lebanon teenager arrested after police say he shot at another car while driving
LEBANON, Maine —
A Lebanon teenager is in custody after police say he shot at another car while driving on Route 202 in Lebanon early Saturday morning.
The York County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call around 2:00 a.m. claiming that someone in another car fired several rounds from a gun at his car, but he was not injured. Deputies say the car was disabled after the driver’s side door and tires were damaged by the gunshots.
Around 4:40 a.m., an officer from the Sanford Police Department found the suspected black sedan outside a business in Sanford. Police arrested Zachary Shaw, 19, of Lebanon, for reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief.
Police say they seized the vehicle and firearm in the vehicle for processing.
Shaw is in custody at the York County Jail on $25,000 cash bail. He will make his first court appearance at the York Judicial Center in Biddeford on Monday, August 24th.
Police say Shaw’s charges could be upgraded as the investigation continues.
