One person was wounded in a terror stabbing attack in the area of Al-Auja, a Palestinian town located near Jericho, in the Jordan Valley, the IDF said on Sunday morning.
A 24-year-old was moderately wounded in the attack and has been evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem to receive medical treatment, Magen David Adom said.
The victim was stabbed after stopping to shop at stores near Al-Auja. The terrorist then fled the scene, prompting an IDF manhunt. Security blockades have been established in the area.
Several IDF units, including military aircraft, Duvdevan undercover counterterror commandos, and soldiers from the Nitzan 636 Unit of the Judea and Samaria Region Division and Jordan Valley Division, have been deployed to aid the search.
The IDF is in ongoing contact with residents and security officials in the area.
This is a developing story.
