Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) — SalamAir, Oman’s low-cost airline, will commence direct flights between Muscat and Erbil on October 25, 2026, strengthening its footprint in Iraq after its debut into the Baghdad market.
The airline has launched ticket sales for the new flight, which will run twice a week between the Omani capital and Erbil.
One-way Lite fares will start at approximately $143 (187,000 Iraqi dinars).
SalamAir adds Erbil as its second Iraqi destination, capitalizing on the success of its current Muscat-Baghdad route.
The new link is designed to facilitate business, tourist, commerce, and family travel between Oman and Iraq, as well as provide travelers from Erbil with additional connections via Muscat to destinations in India and other regions of Asia.
SalamAir Chief Commercial Officer Steven Allen characterized Iraq as an important market for the airline, with Erbil providing an additional potential to meet expanding regional demand and improve Muscat’s position as a connecting hub.
The extension also offers another international link to Erbil International Airport, and it comes as Iraq welcomes more regional airline services as business and tourism flourish.
