Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity celebrating 40th anniversary with community mural
LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — To celebrate 40 years of operation, Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity is partnering with a local artist to create a new mural “honoring the neighborhoods, volunteers and homebuyers that have shaped (its) 40-year history.”
The mural will be put in place at the organization’s ReStore location on the Manheim Pike in Lancaster. It will officially be revealed Thursday with a celebration beginning at 4 p.m.

Artist Steve Wilson will be on hand at the event, along with Lancaster City Mayor Jamie Arroyo and members of Habitat’s board and staff. The ReStore will be open during the festivities for shopping as well.
The Lancaster Lebanon chapter of Habitat for Humanity began in 1986. Its website lists over 300 families served through affordable housing over the four decades. The national organization is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
