GRAND ISLAND – On Friday, August 28, Consul General of Israel to the Midwest Elad Strohmayer will make his inaugural visit to the Nebraska State Fair.
The Consul General will join Governor Jim Pillen at the fair’s opening ceremony to underscore the ironclad ties between Israel and Nebraska with fairgoers, farmers, and community members.
During his visit, the Consul General will highlight the economic collaboration between Nebraska and Israel, particularly in beef exports, as Nebraska accounts for 99% of all U.S. beef exports to Israel. He will also discuss his earlier visit that day to WR Reserve Protein Group in Hastings, one of the only facilities in the United States that produces kosher beef for export to Israel.
Following the opening ceremony, the Consul General will tour the fairgrounds, celebrating and connecting with Nebraska families and the broader community.
