The operations were carried out following an armed clash between law enforcement forces and members of the terrorist group in Saravan, with the cooperation of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence.

A significant quantity of weapons, ammunition and equipment linked to terrorist activities was discovered and seized during the operations.

The confiscated items included dozens of AK-47 assault rifles, hand grenades, an RPG-7 launcher, around 20 kilograms of C4 explosives, and 150 rounds of military ammunition.

Several Starlink satellite devices were also discovered and seized from members of the terrorist group during the operations.

Investigations have shown that the individuals arrested had also been involved in several previous terrorist acts in Saravan County.

According to Police, the detainees were among those responsible for the killing of several law enforcement personnel in Saravan in Farvardin (March 21-April 20) this year, as well as the killing of an IRGC serviceman last month.
