LEBANON, N.H. (WCAX) – New Hampshire police are warning Lebanon residents to stay alert after someone was attacked by an animal believed to be a fisher cat.
Investigators say the attack on Sunday near Centerra Parkway appears to have been unprovoked.
Police are monitoring the area and say people should stay aware of their surroundings, especially when walking in the woods or brush.
If you see a fisher or other wild animal acting aggressively or approaching people, contact Lebanon police or New Hampshire Fish and Game.
Anyone attacked, bitten, or scratched by a wild animal should immediately seek medical attention and report the incident to police.
