LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – A small plane has crash-landed near an elementary school in the Lebanon area.
Wilson County Emergency Management Agency said Tuesday just after 6:30 p.m. that the aircraft “has gone down” in the 900 block of Hickory Ridge Road. Lebanon Police said that the single-engine plane crash-landed near Byars Dowdy Elementary School’s playground.

Police said that children were on school grounds during the crash, but that none were on the playground or near the plane. No injuries have been reported so far and crews are on the scene.
Officials are advising people to use caution in the area and avoid the scene if possible.
