Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a message on the 66th SIAM Annual Convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.

He said, “Over the decades, SIAM has served as a vital bridge between industry, innovators, policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders. Through sustained dialogue on key policy matters, it has helped align the growth of the automobile industry with national priorities. Today, it has an even greater role to play as India’s mobility sector undergoes a fundamental transformation driven by energy efficiency, energy diversification, technology and advanced manufacturing.”

“India has been one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world over the last decade. As our economy grows, the demand for mobility is also rising. The rapid expansion of highways and other infrastructure is facilitating the movement of people and goods while creating new opportunities for the automobile industry. Better connectivity and more efficient logistics are reducing costs and making Indian manufacturing more competitive. This is strengthening the automobile sector and contributing to India’s economic growth…” he added.
