Doha, March 20 (SANA) The State of Qatar issued a strong condemnation on Friday regarding the Israeli aggression that targeted military infrastructure in southern Syria earlier today. Doha characterized the strikes as a “blatant violation” of Syrian sovereignty and a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
In an official statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the continuation of such unchecked practices reflects a dangerous disregard for international legal frameworks. The Ministry warned that these actions undermine the foundations of regional security and stability, pointing out that the international community’s inability to curb these violations has directly contributed to the worsening of the current regional crisis.
The Ministry further reaffirmed Qatar’s firm position in standing alongside Syria, expressing full solidarity with its government. The statement underscored Doha’s support for all measures intended to safeguard Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Israeli occupation carried out the aggression on military infrastructure in southern Syria today as part of its ongoing violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
