Israel has proposed to the European Union to look into the possibilities of advancing joint projects involving Israel, Morocco and the European bloc within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership.
The tripartite initiative has been disclosed by Israeli foreign minister Gideon Sa’ar in a post published on his X account following his latest talk held with European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Suica.
The Israel top diplomat said he updated the EU Commissioner on the positive developments in Israel-Morocco relations and on the US-Israel-Morocco summit meeting held last week in New York.
They also discussed progress on two important EU-led humanitarian projects in Gaza on waste water treatment, and waste disposal.
According to experts, the US-Morocco-Israel- axis creates a new geopolitical landscape at Europe’s southern borders and reshapes geostrategic alliances across North Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
