LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A swimmer in a Lebanon County lake drowned Wednesday evening, according to officials.
Michael Tobias, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene at Memorial Lake in East Hanover Township, near Fort Indiantown Gap, a little before 9:30 p.m., the Lebanon County Coroner’s Office said.
According to state police and the Lebanon County Coroner’s Office, Tobias was found unconscious at the edge of the water, and he was not breathing. State police said life-saving measures were not successful.
Tobias was swimming in the lake at the time, state police said.

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is handling the investigation into the drowning.
