A Girl Scout troop that had its cashbox stolen outside of the Walmart in West Lebanon got a $5,000 donation from Walmart. The troop was selling cookies outside of the store in February and had about $1,000 in the cashbox. Police say a man being held on a probation violation in a jail in Vermont admitted to taking the money. The donation is part of a grant program run by Walmart and will go toward the cookie program for all the Girl Scout troops of the Green and White Mountains.
