Two men were rescued from under the rubble of a building in Tehran, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) said on Tuesday, March 31, after strikes targeted the Iranian capital.
“Following airstrikes on a residential area in western Tehran, Red Crescent and fire department rescuers managed to save two injured fellow countrymen alive from under the rubble,” the IRCS wrote on social media.
Footage showed the emergency teams walking through a number of heavily damaged streets with hollowed-out buildings. Crews are seen searching the rubble with a sniffer dog at one location.

As the video continues, one member of an IRCS team is seen carrying a stretcher as they make their way up a damaged stairwell. Two men are seen lying on the rubble covered in dust. One is then carried down the stairs.
Early on Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces said that they were targeting “military infrastructure” in the residential neighbourhood of Vard Avar.
