Two men found guilty of being members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran have been executed, the Mizan News Agency reported.

The agency, which puts out information from the country’s judiciary, reported that Abolhassan Montazer and Vahid Bani-Amerian had planned and carried out explosions in Tehran and they had also used a rocket launcher.

The executions were part of a wave of executions since the Iran war began. Human rights groups said that opponents of the government were frequently confronted with these allegations. (DPA)
