An officer and soldier from the IDF’s Givati Brigade were wounded by Hezbollah anti-tank fire in southern Lebanon on Thursday, the military said in an evening statement.

The officer was severely wounded and the soldier was moderately injured, the IDF said.

Both individuals were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment, the IDF added, noting that that their families had been notified.

The incident is the second of its kind in as many days, raising the total of IDF soldiers wounded in southern Lebanon to four.

This is a developing story.
