IOF Soldier Killed, Three Wounded in South Lebanon Monday Night

Islam Times – The Israeli occupation army admits the death of a new soldier as the Lebanese Resistance continues to repel the invasion on multiple fronts. The Israeli occupation army has announced the death of one of its soldiers and admitted to three others being wounded in what it alleges was the overturning of a Humvee vehicle in southern Lebanon last night.

The occupation army has so far admitted to 154 officers and soldiers wounded in fighting in southern Lebanon since last Thursday alone, and 565 wounded since it renewed attempts at a ground incursion into Lebanon in early March.

It has also admitted to at least 13 soldiers killed in Lebanon since the war resumed on March 2, figures that reflect only what the army has chosen to disclose under its tight military censorship.

Resistance strikes troops, command centers across the front

The death and casualties come as the Lebanese Resistance continues to inflict sustained losses on Israeli forces across multiple axes.

On Monday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon carried out dozens of operations targeting occupation forces and military infrastructure throughout the day, conducting coordinated FPV and one-way attack drone swarms alongside rocket barrages.

Operations directly targeting Israeli soldiers included strikes on troop gatherings in Misgav Am, Shomera, Kfar Giladi, Naqoura, and Zar’it, as well as drone strikes on the sleeping quarters of troops in the Yiftah Barracks and in Kiryat Shmona, and hits on command and control rooms in the Kfar Giladi Barracks and Margaliot settlement.

Inside Lebanese territory, the Resistance struck Israeli troop and vehicle concentrations in Ain Ibl, Bint Jbeil, Al-Bayyada, and along the Shomran Hill axis, targeting supply lines and newly established positions.

Khiam and Bint Jbeil: invasion stalls under fire

The Lebanese Resistance continues to confront the Israeli invasion across the key fronts of Khiam and Bint Jbeil. In Khiam, and as of Monday, Resistance fighters have prevented occupation forces from advancing beyond the city or consolidating any stable foothold, subjecting their positions to continuous targeting and forcing a reduction in Israeli troop deployments to limit exposure.

In Bint Jbeil, which the occupation claims to have encircled, the Resistance continues to engage occupation forces in close-quarters combat across the city’s neighborhoods, inflicting losses and forcing repeated Israeli withdrawals from positions attempted at the city’s entrances.

‘Stupid act’: ex-Netanyahu advisor urges ceasefire

The mounting toll is drawing rare public criticism within Israeli political circles.

Former head of the Israeli National Security Council and ex-advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Tzachi Hanegbi, described the insistence on continuing the war at this stage as a “stupid act,” warning that it is unsustainable.

Hanegbi acknowledged that a portion of Israeli troop casualties in Lebanon stems from declining training standards, pointing to what he described as a “serious erosion” in military preparedness, and stressed that the burdens placed on the military now exceed its operational capacity.

The mood within Israeli society reflects this strain. A survey by the Agam Institute and Hebrew University of Jerusalem found that respondents were far more likely to view the war as a failure than a success, with many perceiving any ceasefire as a concession to Iran.

An analyst cited in the findings summed up the prevailing sentiment: “What’s the Israeli story today? It’s a narrative of a country that’s constantly fighting, and presents no alternatives except for more war.”
