BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Average gas prices nationwide dropped slightly from last week despite uncertainty abroad.
According to AAA, the national average on Monday was $4.04 per gallon. Vermont’s average matched the national price. New Hampshire’s average was a little lower, at $3.92 per gallon. New York’s average was a bit higher, at $4.10.
Around Vermont, Bennington had the cheapest gas at $3.98 per gallon. Essex had the most expensive gas in the state at $4.20 per gallon.
In New Hampshire, Strafford County had the cheapest gas at $3.88 a gallon. Cheshire County was the most expensive, at $3.98, on par with Vermont’s lowest price.
In New York, Washington County had the cheapest gas in our region at $4.07 a gallon. Essex County had the most expensive gas in the whole state, at $4.30.
