  • April 30, 2026

(WFSB) – Drivers are paying more at the pump as the U.S.-Iran conflict continues.

Crude oil prices spiked overnight, topping $125 a barrel.

Prices eased Thursday morning but remained more than $50 higher than when the conflict began.

The jump showed up at gas stations.

According to AAA, the average price for regular gas in the state is now $4.33 a gallon.

That is three cents above the national average and nearly 30 cents higher than last week.

Drivers in Fairfield County are paying the most at $4.39 per gallon, per AAA.

Tolland County is paying the least at $4.29.
