TWO activists from a Gaza-bound flotilla will be detained for two more days in Israel.
The vessel set sail over two weeks ago from the Mediterranean Sea to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza and bring supplies to Palestine.
However, whilst out at sea those on board reported being surrounded by dozens of drones, speedboats and large military warships while in international waters.
The flotilla was intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters off Greece on Thursday, with Israel saying it had captured 175 activists. Spanish national Saif Abu Keshek and Brazilian Thiago Avila were then taken to Israel for “questioning”.

Both men have now been taken to a court in Ashkelon in southern Israel.
The National understands three Scottish activists were taking part in the Global Sumud Flotilla – all of them from Ullapool in the Highlands. Now, all activists except Abu Keshek and Avila have been released in Greece.
The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) called for the immediate release of Abu Keshek and Avila, and said: “We demand that all governments do all they can to pressure the Israeli regime to release all the illegal abductees.”
Spanish prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, also said he demanded: “the freedom of the Spanish citizen kidnapped on the flotilla”.
He strongly condemned the actions of Israel and said it was “once again, violating international law by assaulting a civilian flotilla in waters that do not belong to it”.
