None of the vessels sustained damage.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FY4zUn9fYh\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/FY4zUn9fYh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. Central Command (@CENTCOM) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CENTCOM\/status\/2052502030778843379?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">May 7, 2026<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>A statement from Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters,<br \/>\nIran\u2019s armed forces central command, however, accused Washington of violating<br \/>\nthe April 8 ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker near Jask and another<br \/>\nvessel off Fujairah. The Iranian side also reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shafaq.com\/en\/Middle-East\/Blasts-rock-Bandar-Abbas-and-Qeshm-Island-amid-Hormuz-tensions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">strikes<\/a> on coastal areas in<br \/>\nBandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island, while confirming that Iranian forces<br \/>\nresponded by targeting US naval vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and south<br \/>\nof Chabahar.<\/p>\n<p>Warning of potential escalation, Tehran asserted that the<br \/>\nUnited States and its allies \u201cmust know that the Islamic Republic of Iran will<br \/>\nrespond forcefully and without hesitation to any aggression or violation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shafaq.com\/en\/Middle-East\/Iran-s-Araghchi-Hormuz-shipping-depends-on-end-of-war-and-lifting-sanctions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reiterated<\/a> that navigation in the Strait of Hormuz would normalize if the war<br \/>\nis permanently resolved, the maritime blockade is lifted, and sanctions imposed<br \/>\non Iran are removed.<\/p>\n<p>Tehran has restricted vessels linked to the United States<br \/>\nand Israel from transiting the maritime gateway for more than two months in<br \/>\nresponse to US-Israeli strikes, disrupting a corridor that carries roughly a<br \/>\nquarter of global seaborne oil trade.
