From Mainz to Millahue, the week centred on wine gatherings shaped by conversation, travel and the enduring appeal of tasting together in person.<\/p>\n

VDP.Weinb\u00f6rse returns to Mainz<\/p>\n

VDP welcomed more than 3,000 trade visitors from 29 countries to Mainz for the 2026 edition of Weinb\u00f6rse.<\/p>\n

Across 186 estates, visitors tasted the 2025 vintage and met producers during what remains Germany\u2019s leading international showcase for fine wine. A revised registration system sharpened the trade focus of the event, creating what organisers described as an atmosphere of concentration, openness and international exchange.<\/p>\n

Bordeaux draws strong attendance for En Primeur Week<\/p>\n

Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux<\/a> reported a strong outcome for En Primeur Week 2026, which brought close to 5,000 wine professionals to Bordeaux between 20 and 23 April.<\/p>\n

Attendance rose by 10% compared with last year, while international participation climbed to 31%, with visitors arriving from 76 countries. Tastings across estates, including Ch\u00e2teau Lynch-Bages and Domaine de Chevalier, gave buyers and journalists the chance to assess the 2025 vintage, widely described during the week as fresh, balanced and immediately appealing.<\/p>\n

Vendimia VIK grows in Chile<\/p>\n

VIK welcomed 400 guests to Millahue for Vendimia VIK 2026, more than doubling attendance from its inaugural edition.<\/p>\n

The event followed the winery\u2019s recent recognition as the world\u2019s leading vineyard destination by The World\u2019s 50 Best Vineyards and combined gastronomy, music and immersive tastings across the estate. Guests encountered guided tastings, live cooking stations and a dramatic bluefin tuna carving ceremony featuring a fish weighing over 100 kilos.<\/p>\n

Chief executive Gast\u00f3n Williams described the celebration as a way of sharing \u201cwine, gastronomy, innovation, and our surroundings\u201d through a single experience, while chief winemaker Cristi\u00e1n Vallejo reflected on the responsibility that comes with global recognition.<\/p>\n

The winery also confirmed plans for a Brazilian edition later this year, continuing efforts to bring the spirit of Millahue to new audiences.<\/p>\n

Ch\u00e2teau Musar unveils its 2019 Red<\/p>\n

Ch\u00e2teau Musar winemaker Tarek Sakr travelled from Lebanon<\/a> to London this week to mark the release of Ch\u00e2teau Musar 2019 Red.<\/p>\n

Held at Berenjak, the lunch paired the Bekaa Valley producers\u2019 wines with Persian dishes, introducing guests to the new vintage alongside a broader selection from the estate.<\/p>\n

Mushrooms take centre stage at W London<\/p>\n

A seasonal four-course dinner at W London explored the culinary and functional possibilities of mushrooms in collaboration with Superoom.<\/p>\n

The menu was led by Finnish chef Sami Tallberg, known for his work with wild and foraged ingredients from the forests of Finland.<\/p>\n
