\n\tIranian forces have detained a Barbados-flagged tanker in the Gulf of Oman.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe IRGC Navy seized the 72,768 DWT tanker\u00a0Ocean Koi\u00a0in the Gulf of Oman on Friday, state-backed news agency Tasnim reported.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe tanker was “trying to harm and disrupt the oil export and the interests of the Iranian nation,” according to the report.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe tanker, owned by Marshall Islands-based Ocean Kudos Shipping Co Ltd, was sanctioned by the US in February<\/a>.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe ship “has transported millions of barrels of Iranian high sulfur fuel oil (HSFO) and condensate since May 2025,” the US Department of the Treasury said at the time.<\/p>\n


\n\t“The Ocean Koi has operated as part of the Iranian shadow fleet since at least 2020.”<\/p>\n
