NNA reported several more strikes near the towns of Nabatieh, Kafra, Haris, and Mansouri.<\/p>\n
In a separate incident, a Syrian man and his 12-year-old daughter were reported killed in Israeli drone strikes.<\/p>\n
NNA, citing a health ministry statement, said that the man and his daughter were riding a motorcycle when they were targeted in Nabatieh.<\/p>\n
\t According to the statement, the first drone strike did not hit the pair, while a second killed the father. The Hezbollah terror group has\u00a0fiercely objected\u00a0to the government\u2019s decision to hold negotiations with Israel.<\/p>\n Despite the ceasefire reached between Israel and Lebanon in mid-April, which has since been extended into May, Hezbollah has fired rockets and drones at northern Israeli communities, though most attacks have been on troops in southern Lebanon or on the Israeli side of the border.<\/p>\n Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah on Saturday warned of \u201ca new phase, in which the resistance (Hezbollah) will not accept a return to pre-March 2.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen it attacks our villages and suburbs, the enemy must expect a response, and this is what the resistance is doing,\u201d Fadlallah said, alluding to an Israeli attack this week on Beirut\u2019s southern suburbs that killed Ahmed Ghaleb Balout, the chief of the terror group\u2019s elite Radwan Force in Beirut.<\/p>\n He also said direct talks with Israel amounted to a \u201cpath of concessions,\u201d reiterating his party\u2019s call for the government to withdraw in favor of indirect talks.<\/p>\n The US is set to host the third round<\/a> of ambassador-level talks between representatives from Israel and Lebanon on May 14 and 15.<\/p>\n Joining diplomats from each side will, for the first time, be military representatives, an Israeli official said, adding that the sides would discuss more concrete measures that can be taken to disarm Hezbollah.<\/p>\n Over 2,500 people have been killed and about a million displaced in Lebanon since Hezbollah began firing on Israel on March 2, according to Lebanese authorities. The IDF said it has killed over 1,900 Hezbollah operatives, including hundreds of members of the terror group\u2019s elite Radwan Force.<\/p>\n
