Tehran, Iran \u2013 In a pivotal diplomatic move amid heightened military tensions, Iran\u2019s state news agency announced that Tehran has delivered its official response to the Pakistani mediator. This comes in response to the latest proposal from the United States to end the ongoing war in the region.<\/p>\n

The Mehr News Agency reported that the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed that these responses followed a thorough review of the American observations and proposals. He also indicated that negotiations at this critical juncture are primarily focused on the issue of \u201cending the war.\u201d They also emphasize a cessation of hostilities that have plagued the region since last February.<\/p>\n

Military mobilization and \u201coffensive readiness\u201d<\/p>\n

In parallel with the diplomatic efforts, Tehran witnessed a high-level military move. During a meeting with Major General Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei received a comprehensive report on the readiness of the armed forces. The report included a detailed assessment of the capabilities of the army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the security forces, the border guards, and the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Basij militia.<\/p>\n

Major General Abdollahi stated that Iranian forces possess \u201ccomplete defensive and offensive readiness.\u201d He emphasized that they have strategic plans and advanced military equipment to counter what he described as \u201cAmerican and Israeli hostilities.\u201d<\/p>\n

He warned that any \u201cstrategic mistake\u201d by the enemies would be met with a \u201cswift, decisive, and powerful response.\u201d He explained that the response would make the aggressors regret their intentions.<\/p>\n

Khamenei: New measures and continued confrontation<\/p>\n

For his part, Mojtaba Khamenei praised the \u201cheroism of the armed forces\u201d over the past months, asserting that the strategies adopted by the leadership had thwarted enemy plots and contributed to achieving \u201cgreat victories.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a move suggesting preparedness for all eventualities, Khamenei announced the adoption of \u201cnew and decisive measures\u201d to continue military operations. He emphasized that international powers would be confronted with full force should the political process fail.<\/p>\n

These developments come after months of tragedy since the outbreak of war on February 28, which has resulted in more than 3,000 deaths. Despite a two-week ceasefire declared in April and the failure of negotiations in Islamabad, the situation remains uncertain.<\/p>\n

While a full-scale resumption of hostilities has not been officially announced, the United States has begun imposing a crippling naval blockade on Iranian ports. This has prompted mediating parties to intensify their efforts to organize a new round of negotiations.
