{"id":112562,"date":"2026-05-13T21:46:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T21:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/112562\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T21:46:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T21:46:11","slug":"iran-blocking-us-arms-in-hormuz-strait-army-spokesman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/112562\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran Blocking US Arms in Hormuz Strait: Army Spokesman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islamtimes.com\/en\/news\/1279993\/iran-blocking-us-arms-in-hormuz-strait-army-spokesman\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/n01279993-b.jpg\" alt=\"Iran Blocking US Arms in Hormuz Strait: Army Spokesman\" title=\"Iran Blocking US Arms in Hormuz Strait: Army Spokesman\" class=\"img-responsive\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            Islam Times &#8211; The spokesperson for the Iranian Army said Iran would not allow any country to transfer American weapons through the Strait of Hormuz.Speaking to reporters in Mashhad on Wednesday, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia referred to the sensitive position of the Strait of Hormuz and said the waterway is currently under the strategic control of Iran\u2019s Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the western side of the strait is under the control of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy, while the eastern side is controlled by the Iranian Navy.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the coordinated and synergized control as a factor increasing Iran\u2019s oversight and dominance over the region, he said such control would generate revenues for the country amounting to as much as twice Iran\u2019s oil income.<\/p>\n<p>The Army spokesman further warned foreign powers that Iran would not allow any country to transport American weapons through the Strait of Hormuz.
