{"id":116026,"date":"2026-05-16T00:18:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T00:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/116026\/"},"modified":"2026-05-16T00:18:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T00:18:13","slug":"no-military-solution-against-iran-tehran-sends-strong-message-during-india-visit-indiablooms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/116026\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;No military solution against Iran&#8217;: Tehran sends strong message during India visit | Indiablooms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tIran&#8217;s Foreign Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiablooms.com\/world\/iran-delegation-meets-pakistan-leadership-leaves-us-talks-hanging-in-diplomatic-limbo\/details\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Abbas Araghchi<\/a>, currently visiting New Delhi for the BRICS foreign ministers\u2019 conclave, said Iran has \u201cevery reason\u201d not to trust the United States, while insisting that Washington can trust Tehran \u201cwithout a doubt\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tAddressing a press conference after the BRICS meeting, Araghchi said the biggest obstacle to diplomacy between Iran and the United States is a deep lack of trust rooted in years of confrontation.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tHe claimed the US turned to negotiations only after failing to achieve its objectives through pressure and conflict against Iran.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tHe said Iran has agreed to maintain what he described as a \u201cshaky\u201d ceasefire to give diplomacy a chance, while warning that Tehran would never surrender to threats, sanctions or military pressure.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u201cIranian people only answer to the language of respect,\u201d Araghchi said.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tIndia\u2019s possible role<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tAraghchi said India could play a \u201cgreater role\u201d in efforts to stabilise the Middle East and promote dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tHe added that Tehran would welcome \u201cany constructive role\u201d from New Delhi in easing regional tensions.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tAt the same BRICS gathering, Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar warned that instability in the Middle East could seriously impact global energy supplies and trade routes.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tChina\u2019s support for diplomacy<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Iranian foreign minister also praised China, calling Beijing a strategic partner with \u201cgood intentions\u201d.
