Global wine<\/a> consumption fell to a 27-year low in 2025, according to research by the International Organization of Vine and Wine.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the wine cooler has moved from a niche product to a central product in Israeli homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With the world drinking less, a separate trend has emerged, primarily amongst the younger population<\/a>: quality over quantity.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the younger generation drinks more moderately; their wine consumption is a choice rather than just another drink.<\/p>\n

As the Jewish holiday of Shavuot<\/a> approaches, we can see this trend at work in Israeli home design. Wine takes the stage alongside cheese on this dairy-heavy holiday, with new stylish wine stands becoming central pieces that upgrade the table.<\/p>\n

The new pieces, while practical, maintain their artistic value. One example is a stand shaped like a figurine that holds both a wine bottle and a corkscrew. Another, more natural-looking example is a wooden stand that creates a winery atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Other, more elaborate stands hold wine glasses alongside the bottle, saving space on an already crowded Shavuot table.<\/p>\n

Wine-related gadgets have become popular as well, including wine-temperature thermometers and air-pressure bottle openers.<\/p>\n

In the case of the thermostat, the device found its way into private households after originally being used only by full-on wine connoisseurs.<\/p>\n
