He also indicated that authorities plan to reopen roads linking Syrian<br \/>\nregions, including routes to Ras Al-Ain, and facilitate the return of displaced<br \/>\nresidents to the city and nearby villages in the next phase.<\/p>\n<p>Citizen Siham Shendi expressed joy at returning to her village, as \u201cI<br \/>\nwaited eight years for this moment and hopes all Afrin residents will soon be<br \/>\nable to come back to their homes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January, the Syrian government and the SDF reached a comprehensive<br \/>\nceasefire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shafaq.com\/en\/Middle-East\/Damascus-reclaims-Semalka-border-crossing-with-Iraqi-Kurdistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">agreement<\/a>, which includes a gradual integration of military and<br \/>\nadministrative structures between the two sides.
