He\u2019s raining on Zo\u2019s boycott parade.<\/p>\n

Ex-Hizzoner Eric Adams trolled Zohran Mamdani by announcing he\u2019ll attend the Israel Day Parade on Sunday that the current mayor plans to skip.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cAs your mayor, I was proud to march in this parade for all four years I was in office \u2013 and this year will be no different,\u201d Adams said in an X video posted Wednesday<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ll be right there, marching with tens of thousands of New Yorkers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he will not be marching in the Israel Day Parade this year. Brigitte Stelzer<\/p>\n

The subtle yet clear dig at Mamdani is only the latest time Adams has broken with the tradition of former mayors being hesitant to criticize their successors.<\/p>\n

Adams has blasted Mamdani over the city\u2019s budget<\/a>, deaths of homeless people<\/a> during a winter storm and the new mayor\u2019s harsh criticism of Israel.<\/p>\n

Mamdani has maintained his stance on Israel <\/a>is separate from his support for Jewish people and New Yorkers, including after he said he wouldn\u2019t attend the parade.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile I will not be attending the Israel Day Parade, my lack of attendance should not be mistaken for a refusal to provide security or the necessary permits for its safety,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Adams announced he will be returning to the parade this year \u2014 in an apparent dig at his successor. Stephen Yang<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been very clear: I believe in equal rights for all people \u2014 everywhere. That principle guides me consistently.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Adams argued that attending the parade is more important this year.<\/p>\n
