Joe Rogan<\/a> debated fellow comedian Harland Williams on Friday about President Donald Trump<\/a> and his war on Iran<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rogan summed up the thoughts of recent podcast guest Scott Horton, an author and anti-war activist, who argued that Israeli interests dragged the US into the conflict<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEssentially, this is Israel wanting us to go to this war,\u201d said Rogan, adding that the take \u201cmakes sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Joe Rogan Experience<\/a> host said he doesn\u2019t support the war and its lack of an exit strategy after the US spent 20 years and trillions of taxpayer dollars in Afghanistan, only for Williams to ask if Rogan doesn\u2019t \u201clike the concept that Iran can\u2019t have nuclear weapons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams, a Canadian-American actor best known for his roles in \u201cDumb and Dumber\u201d and \u201cHalf Baked,\u201d argued Trump\u2019s war on Iran, ostensibly intended<\/a> to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons, is a more \u201cpositive agenda\u201d than targeting Taliban-linked Afghans growing opium.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s true if it made sense,\u201d Rogan countered on Friday<\/a>. \u201cThe problem is, I had Scott Horton on the podcast explaining what is actually involved in making depleted uranium, and making it weapons-grade, and what would have to be done in order to get it to a bomb level … It\u2019s very difficult. It\u2019s not as simple, and they weren\u2019t nearly capable of doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNot nearly, but pursuing,\u201d Williams countered.<\/p>\n

Rogan also said he understands why Israel would want war with Iran. If Mexico were building a nuclear weapon next door to America and was \u201cconstantly in conflict\u201d with the US, Rogan said, \u201cthat would be a good reason\u201d for America to \u201cwant to go fuck up\u201d Mexico.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike, \u2018Hey, you can\u2019t have a nuclear bomb,\u2019\u201d said Rogan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is Israel\u2019s position, and Israel is right there with Iran, they\u2019re close enough to throw missiles at each other. I get why they want it,\u201d he continued. \u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s a good thing for America. And I don\u2019t know if there\u2019s a way out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rogan noted earlier in the show that he likes it when Trump does \u201cwild shit\u201d like organizing an Ultimate Fighting Championship event<\/a> on the White House South Lawn. He endorsed Trump<\/a> in the 2024 election, but has also split with him and his administration on a number of issues.<\/p>\n

The podcaster has decried the president\u2019s \u201chorrific\u201d<\/a> deportations, \u201cinsane\u201d immigration raids<\/a> and \u201cterrifying\u201d war on Iran<\/a>. He recently torched Palantir<\/a>, the tech company streamlining data on US citizens for the federal government, for calling for a military draft amid the Iran war<\/a>.<\/p>\n
