She added that \u201cthe<br \/>\ncompany is closely monitoring shipping and unloading operations while<br \/>\ncoordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the timely delivery of<br \/>\nsupplies to warehouses and distribution centers across Iraq.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On May 22, Mahmoud Khalifat, Director General of the Aqaba<br \/>\nPorts Corporation, announced that five cargo ships carrying food and industrial<br \/>\ngoods for Iraq had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shafaq.com\/en\/Economy\/Iraq-turns-to-Jordan-s-Aqaba-port-after-Hormuz-disruption\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">docked<\/a> at Aqaba Port. Jordanian authorities also reported<br \/>\nreceiving 100,000 tons of vegetable oils destined for Iraq, while additional<br \/>\nshipments carrying rice, corn, sugar, iron, and timber were awaiting unloading.<\/p>\n<p>Regional shipping routes have faced sustained disruption<br \/>\nsince the US-Israeli war on Iran began on Feb. 28, which prompted Iranian<br \/>\nmissile and drone attacks against Israel and US military facilities across the<br \/>\nMiddle East.
