Shafaq News- Al-Anbar<\/p>\n

Governor of Al-Anbar, western Iraq, reviewed water discharge
\nlevels and flows arriving from Syria through the Euphrates River on Tuesday
\nfollowing flooding in neighboring Deir Ez-Zor province.<\/p>\n

Omar Mishaan Al-Dabbous received briefings from technical
\nteams on river conditions, flow rates, and measures being taken to monitor
\nchanges in water levels. He also noted that the local government \u201cis closely
\nfollowing the water file in coordination with relevant agencies to protect
\nresidents, agricultural land, and infrastructure across western Al-Anbar.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, service and security agencies in Al-Qaim
\ndistrict declared a state of full alert<\/a> after reports that large quantities of
\nwater had been released from Syria’s Al-Tabqa Dam, causing water levels in the
\nEuphrates to rise.<\/p>\n

Rising flows on the Euphrates have triggered evacuations and
\ndisrupted essential services across eastern Syria. Syrian officials told Shafaq
\nNews on Friday that flooding<\/a> affected parts of Deir Ez-Zor and Raqqa provinces,
\nputting dozens of water stations out of service and prompting emergency
