The Department of War has identified a U.S. Army soldier killed overseas<\/a> as Sergeant Devin A. Seibel of Robinson, Texas.<\/p>\n

Seibel, 26, died at Erbil Airbase in northern Iraq during a training-related incident on May 31, the defense department announced in a June 3 news release. He was assigned to the Air Ambulance Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, in Fort Carson, Colorado.<\/p>\n

According to the defense department, Seibel was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Seibel was one of two soldiers killed in the training incident, officials said.<\/p>\n

United Kingdom defense officials said a British soldier also died<\/a>. The country’s Ministry of Defense identified the solider as\u00a0Lance Corporal Freeman. He was 29.<\/p>\n

Officials have not released additional information about how the soldiers died, but said the incident was under investigation.<\/p>\n
