A source close to the matter shared insights into the plan with\u00a0Reuters on Saturday, a day after a wave of attacks by Iran against Kuwait and Bahrain.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from this, US Treasury Secretary<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstpost.com\/world\/us-suffocating-iran-with-economic-blockade-says-treasury-secretary-scott-bessent-14007105.html\" id=\"https:\/\/www.firstpost.com\/world\/us-suffocating-iran-with-economic-blockade-says-treasury-secretary-scott-bessent-14007105.html\" class=\"body_anchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scott Bessent<\/a> has also directed a team to assess the damage caused by Iran in the Gulf region. In recent days, the peace negotiations between the two warring nations appeared to have stalled. Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guard confirmed on Saturday that it launched ballistic missiles into the Gulf region that even passed over residential areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the invasion of the child-killing and terrorist US army into Sirik and Qeshm Island, enemy bases in the region were hit by aerial missiles,\u201d state broadcaster IRIB reported early on Saturday, quoting the IRGC. Tehran went on to claim it attacked the 5th fleet headquarters in Bahrain, a claim the US denied.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the chaos, the Kuwaiti army wrote on US social media platform X that the General Staff confirmed that \u201cany explosions that may be heard are the result of air defence systems intercepting hostile targets.\u201d \u201cThe public is urged to adhere to safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Bahrain\u2019s Interior Ministry also wrote on X that \u201cthe siren has been sounded,\u201d and \u201ccitizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place.\u201d Iran claimed that its missile successfully struck Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait and US Fifth Fleet facilities in Bahrain.
