Levi’s most recognizable songs include Rikud Romanti (2008), Ha’achat Sheli (2011), Od Hayom (2014), and Hafla With Ben Moshe (1989).<\/p>\n

“With unimaginable pain, we announce the passing of Yishai Levy tonight. We will provide an orderly update regarding the time and location of the funeral later today. There are no words right now,” the family said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Levy is survived by his wife, four children, and grandchildren.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences over Levi’s passing in a post to X\/Twitter on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

“My wife Sarah and I express our sorrow over the passing of the beloved artist Yishai Levi, may his memory be a blessing,” Netanyahu wrote. “Yishai was a unique voice in Israeli music\u2014one of soul, joy, pain, and love for humanity.<\/p>\n

“Yishai touched the hearts of millions of Israelis with his songs. He crossed generations, communities, and sectors, becoming an inseparable part of the soundtrack of our lives.”<\/p>\n

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of beloved singer<\/a> Yishai Levy,” Culture Minister Miki Zohar<\/a> stated.<\/p>\n

“Yishai was one of the pioneers of Mizrahi music in Israel and one of the greatest and most moving voices in Israeli music<\/a>, an artist who managed to touch the hearts of entire generations and become an inseparable part of the soundtrack of the State of Israel.”<\/p>\n
