US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Washington would declare \u201ctotal victory\u201d over Iran within two weeks, hours after Israel and Iran agreed to halt a sharp escalation that threatened to reignite the West Asia conflict.<\/p>\n
Iran, Israel say hostilities on hold<\/p>\n
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the “fire on that front is contained”<\/a> hours after Tehran said it had stopped its military action.<\/p>\n Iran launched missiles at Israel on Sunday over Israel\u2019s ongoing war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel then retaliated, despite Trump\u2019s efforts to dissuade Netanyahu.<\/p>\n Going to win in 2 weeks<\/p>\n Trump said he intervened to stop the fighting and protect ongoing talks between Washington and Tehran.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been a very tough team, and I think we are winning that battle, but you\u2019re really going to win it over the next two weeks when we declare total victory,\u201d Trump said during a telerally for Sen.
