Iraq will complete its new cabinet in early July, ahead of
\nPrime Minister Ali al-Zaidi\u2019s scheduled trip to the United States, Government
\nSpokesman Haidar Al-Aboudi noted on Sunday.<\/p>\n

During a press briefing, Al-Aboudi indicated that the visit
\nfollows an invitation from US President Donald Trump and will include
\ndiscussions<\/a> on political, security, and economic files of mutual interest. He
\nadded that the Prime Minister will not take part in the upcoming elections and
\nwill not establish any political party.<\/p>\n

On May 14, the Iraqi parliament approved<\/a> Al-Zaidi\u2019s
\ngovernment and ministerial program, granting confidence to 14 ministers out of
\n23, while nine ministries remain vacant due to disputes<\/a> over candidates and
\npolitical quotas, including the Interior, Defense, Higher Education, and
\nPlanning ministries.<\/p>\n
