LEBANON, Ore. – Lebanon Fire District put out a small brush fire behind the water treatment plant near the railroad tracks on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Firefighters responded to the 2500 block of River Drive at 1:44 p.m. on June 20 after getting a report of a structure fire. Dispatch updated the call while crews were on their way, saying it might be a brush fire instead.<\/p>\n
When firefighters arrived, they found the small fire and quickly got to work once they could access the area. The area is known to shelter some people experiencing homelessness, and firefighters found a small camp in the middle of the fire. No one was hurt.<\/p>\n
Firefighters cleared the scene about an hour later. Lebanon Police Department and an Oregon Department of Forestry supervisor helped at the scene. Albany Fire Department moved an ambulance into the district to cover additional medical calls.<\/p>\n
