{"id":17309,"date":"2026-03-13T08:18:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T08:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/17309\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T08:18:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T08:18:12","slug":"nyc-first-lady-rama-duwaji-illustrated-essay-for-anti-israel-activist-who-raged-about-jewish-supremacist-vampires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/17309\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC first lady Rama Duwaji illustrated essay for anti-Israel activist who raged about \u2018Jewish supremacist vampires\u2019\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani\u2019s wife, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/06\/us-news\/mamdani-claims-wife-rama-duwaji-isnt-a-public-figure-despite-glossy-magazine-profiles-after-uproar-over-oct-7-post-likes\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rama Duwaji<\/a>, created artwork for an essay book compiled by an anti-Israel activist who has described Jewish people as \u201cvampires,\u201d \u201cdemons\u201d and \u201cghouls\u201d \u2013 and celebrated the Oct. 7, 2023, terror attack on Israel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Duwaji, a Syrian American artist and first lady of New York City, drew the lead graphic for \u201cA Trail of Soap,\u201d an essay published by <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/05\/24\/us-news\/susan-abulhawa-says-jewish-museum-shooting-was-no-surprise\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Susan Abulhawa<\/a> in the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DU3AbUWjOay\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> Slow Factory\u2019s latest issue of \u201cEverything Is Political\u201d <\/a>magazine, the <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/zohran-mamdanis-wife-provided-illustration-for-essay-by-author-who-called-oct-7-spectacular-and-attacked-jewish-supremacist-vampires\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Washington Free Beacon<\/a> reported on Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A spokeswoman for Mamdani said Duwaji does not have a relationship with the controversial author.  WWD via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Abulhawa is a staunch critic of Israel and has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/resources\/article\/inflammatory-rhetoric-marks-anti-israel-criticism-agreements-uae-bahrain\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">criticized by the Anti-Defamation League<\/a> for her \u201cinflammatory rhetoric\u201d towards the Jewish State.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In an <a href=\"https:\/\/electronicintifada.net\/content\/israel-its-colonial-deathbed\/38746\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">op-ed<\/a> published days after Hamas\u2019 barbaric attack on Israel, Abulhawa called the massacre \u201ca spectacular moment that shocked the world\u201d and insinuated that Israel allowed the attack to happen.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether or not Israel indeed knew of the plans in advance, those few freedom fighters inspired not only the whole of Palestine, but the oppressed masses worldwide, to imagine what freedom looks like; what resistance is possible; and what life is attainable,\u201d Abulhawa wrote in a piece for \u201cThe Electronic Intifada.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Free Beacon also found numerous social media posts from Abulhawa attacking Israelis and Jews.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was always about stealing more of our land. Nothing is ever enough for these rootless, soulless ghouls,\u201d she wrote in a Dec. 22, 2025, X post discussing Israeli settlements.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In another post critical of Israel\u2019s war against Hamas, Abulhawa argued that \u201cGaza City, which has 5000 years of recorded history, is currently being obliterated by a 77 year old cultureless, rootless human aberration in the form of a manufactured \u2018nation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe live in the time of jewish supremacist demons,\u201d her Sept. 21, 2025 X post continued.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Palestinian American author has also called a pro-Israel commentator a \u201clying Jewish supremacist cockroach\u201d; bemoaned \u201cDual loyalty zionists\u201d; and described Israelis as \u201cdemonic parasite[s],\u201d \u201c\u201dsons of satan,\u201d and \u201cJewish supremacist vampires\u201d in other recent posts highlighted by the outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Abulhawa has made numerous inflammatory comments about Israel and Jewish people.  susanabulhawa.com<\/p>\n<p>Duwaji\u2019s drawing is the featured artwork on one of Abulhawa\u2019s most recent essays.  Instagram\/theslowfactory and everything_political<\/p>\n<p>City Hall did not immediately respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A spokeswoman for Mamdani told the Washington Free Beacon that Duwaji does not have a relationship with Abulhawa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs is common for freelance illustrators, the First Lady was commissioned to illustrate an excerpt of Abulhawa\u2019s book by an outside publisher,\u201d the spokeswoman said. \u201cShe has never engaged with or met Susan Abulhawa, nor had she seen the tweets in question.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The revelation that Duwaji\u2019s illustration is being featured by Slow Factory\u2019s magazine comes days after Jewish Insider found <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/06\/us-news\/nyc-first-lady-rama-duwaji-liked-social-media-post-supporting-palestinian-resistance-after-oct-7-attack-report\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mamdani\u2019s wife liked a celebratory Instagram post from the lefty group<\/a> that included an image from Hamas\u2019 deadly attack on Israel. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The post liked by Duwaji included images allegedly taken from livestreamed footage of the Oct. 7, 2023, attack showing a gleeful group riding on what appeared to be a commandeered Israel Defense Forces vehicle with the words \u201cresisting apartheid since 1948,\u201d the report from Jewish Insider said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBreaking the walls of apartheid and military occupation.
