\/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nHe noted that he had never heard Iranian leaders express a desire for Iraq to be subordinate or for Iran to interfere in Iraqi affairs, but rather a consistent call for an independent and sovereign Iraq.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nAddressing the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, al-Hakim expressed the extensive sympathy of the Iraqi people for his assassination and the \u201ctreacherous and surprise terrorist act\u201d that led to his demise.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nHe urged the Iraqi people to participate in large numbers in the funeral procession, stating, \u201cThe people of Iraq express solidarity with the Iranian nation, their suffering, and the Martyred Leader in this procession.\u201d He called upon Iraqis to join the funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei, thereby showcasing the message of solidarity between the two nations.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe body of the Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is scheduled to be transferred to Iraq for a funeral ceremony at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala and Imam Ali (AS) shrine in Najaf.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe martyred Leader will be laid to rest at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), eighth Shia Imam in Mashhad on Thursday
