The U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/07\/09\/us-and-iran-exchange-intensifying-fire-across-mideast-threatening-ceasefire-deal-00992798\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">launched new strikes<\/a> on Iran earlier this week in response to Iran\u2019s attacks on shipping in the critical waterway of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/world\/middle-east\/iran-hatched-fresh-plot-to-kill-trump-israel-told-u-s-1511d9d2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">told reporters<\/a> that Iran was plotting to assassinate him. \u201cThey want to take out the U.S. leader \u2014 me,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m on every list. I saw this morning, I\u2019m on every single one of their lists.
