Heavy heat stress will prevail in many areas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">At the moment, there is no end in sight for the upcoming heatwave, and the Director of the Israel Meteorological Service, Dr. Amir Givati, forecasts that it will remain with us next week in varying intensities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">This follows already hot weather last week, with the heatwave expected to arrive in force today and continuing into next week.<\/p>\n<p>The high <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/environment-and-climate-change\/article-901980\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">temperatures<\/a> will characterize the entire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/business-and-innovation\/energy-and-infrastructure\/article-901609\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mediterranean<\/a> region and southern Europe over the coming days, but in western and central Europe, the heatwave will give way next week to more comfortable temperatures and even rain.<\/p>\n<p>The Environment and Climate Change portal is produced in cooperation with the Goldman Sonnenfeldt School of Sustainability and Climate Change at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
