{"id":222285,"date":"2026-07-25T13:55:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-25T13:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/222285\/"},"modified":"2026-07-25T13:55:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-25T13:55:12","slug":"two-buses-collide-in-syria-killing-35","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/222285\/","title":{"rendered":"Two buses collide in Syria, killing 35"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Two buses collided in Syria on Saturday, leaving 35 people dead, a health official said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Thirty others were injured in the accident that occurred on a road linking the capital Damascus and the province of Deir al-Zour in eastern Syria, Dr Najib al-Naasan, the director of the Health Ministry&#8217;s ambulance and emergency department, added, according to Syria&#8217;s state news agency SANA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The collision involved two buses: one carrying security personnel and the other civilians, the Syrian Interior Ministry said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">TV footage showed one bus in flames in the aftermath.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In response, military helicopters were dispatched to the site to help in medical evacuations of the victims, SANA said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The route where the crash happened is known as the &#8220;road of death&#8221; due to the almost daily accidents on it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Syria has been roiled by more than a decade of civil war.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two buses collided in Syria on Saturday, leaving 35 people dead, a health official said.
