The document also noted that, &#8220;as of this time, Iran continues to carry out missile fire of varying intensity toward different countries across the Middle East.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">According to the document, &#8220;Given the uncertainty regarding the situation on the Iran and Lebanon fronts, security officials continue to assess that there is a high probability of an attack against the civilian population.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On that basis, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-903485\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Defense Ministry<\/a> is proposing to extend the nationwide special home front emergency declaration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The ministry emphasized that there are currently no active Home Front Command directives for the civilian population, but such instructions may need to be reinstated if circumstances change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">It added that as long as the declaration remains in force, the Home Front Command retains various authorities under the Civil Defense Law, including the power to issue instructions to the public, require people to remain in protected spaces, impose restrictions on educational activities, direct auxiliary organizations, and issue additional orders necessary to safeguard lives and property.<\/p>\n<p>According to the document, because no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/article-902359\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Home Front Command<\/a> directives are currently in effect, the economic impact of extending the declaration is expected to be negligible. It also stressed that if there is a significant change in the security situation, the declaration could be revoked or narrowed to apply only to areas where it is deemed necessary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The current declaration is set to expire on Tuesday.
