The Pentagon’s recent reclassification of U.S. soldier deaths has led to conflicting figures on the death toll in the Iran war, with discrepancies between official data and President Trump’s statements.<\/p>\n

The Pentagon has changed how it classifies U.S. soldier deaths<\/a>, leading to confusion over the reported death toll in the Iran war. <\/p>\n

As recently as July 21, the Pentagon’s website listed 18 Americans killed in the war. That number has now been revised to 14. <\/p>\n

A Pentagon spokesperson initially said the discrepancy was due to “temporary data disruptions.” <\/p>\n

The four deaths removed from the count are now being classified as “overseas operations.” <\/p>\n

The Pentagon has not provided an explanation for the reclassification. <\/p>\n

Adding to the confusion, President Donald Trump recently said that 18 Americans have been killed due to the war in Iran. <\/p>\n
