{"id":225931,"date":"2026-07-28T10:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T10:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/225931\/"},"modified":"2026-07-28T10:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T10:43:08","slug":"idf-police-crack-down-on-smuggling-of-illegal-immigrants-into-israel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/225931\/","title":{"rendered":"IDF, police crack down on smuggling of illegal immigrants into Israel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thirty wanted individuals suspected of being involved in the smuggling of illegal immigrants into Israeli territory were arrested during large-scale IDF operations in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-903825\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">West Bank<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-903631\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IDF<\/a>, dozens of locations across Tulkarm, Kalkilya, Shweika, and other villages were searched as the military works to combat the infiltration of illegal immigrants and strengthen Israeli national security.<\/p>\n<p>Ephraim Brigade Commander, Col. P., stated that offensive operations targeting immigrant smuggling rings are key for defending Israel and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-903660\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">potential terrorist attacks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Also on Sunday, 11 illegal immigrants were arrested after attempting to enter Israeli territory by breaching a border <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/crime-in-israel\/article-903268\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">checkpoint<\/a> on the perimeter of Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">According to Israel Police, the illegal immigrants were traveling from the West Bank in a car with an Israeli license plate. The vehicle\u2019s driver did not comply with instructions from Border Guard officers to stop and tried to drive through the checkpoint before hitting an object.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The driver, who was already known to police, then escaped.
