According to the source, this Omani proposal enjoys broad regional support and is directly inspired by the approach used to manage the vital Strait of Malacca, where users of the waterway voluntarily contribute to funding navigation operations, marine environmental protection, and search and rescue activities. The Gulf source emphasized that under this proposal, Iran would not exercise unilateral control over the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian alternative proposal for a temporary arrangement<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In response, Tehran presented an alternative proposal to Oman on Tuesday, calling for a temporary arrangement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and ensure safe navigation. This arrangement would grant Iran greater control over international maritime shipping lanes.
