Iran warned this weekend against any \u201cadventurous action\u201d by the US and said it would retaliate decisively if American forces follow through on US President Donald Trump\u2019s threats of fresh attacks on Iranian targets.<\/p>\n
Iran\u2019s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi\u2019s comments in separate phone calls on Saturday with senior Turkish, Pakistani and Saudi officials came just \u200chours after Kuwait\u2019s army said it destroyed hostile drones launched by Iran against several vital facilities.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Pakistan\u2019s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Araqchi said Iran would respond decisively to any \u201caggression\u201d and discussed the consequences of \u201cdestabilising actions\u201d by the US, as well as prospects for heightened regional insecurity, according to Araqchi\u2019s Telegram account.<\/p>\n
Araqchi later told Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan that any attacks by the US and Israel or participation by regional countries in such actions would be met with a \u201cproportionate response\u201d.<\/p>\n
Nournews, a media outlet affiliated \u2060with Iran\u2019s top security body, said on Saturday that US attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure would prompt Iranian strikes on oilfields in Saudi Arabia and \u200cthe United Arab Emirates, as well as the gas fields of Qatar and Israel, saying \u201call will be burned to ashes\u201d.<\/p>\n
