A new Channel 13 poll published Wednesday projects the opposition bloc would win 69 seats if an election were held today, but only 58 of them would belong to parties willing to join an alternative government. The poll also projects the “Zionist Home” party, led by Yoaz Hendel and Chili Tropper, would fail to cross the electoral threshold.<\/p>\n

The survey projects the governing coalition at 51 seats and the Arab parties at 11.<\/p>\n

Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party remains the largest, with 23 seats, while Likud is projected to win 22 seats, down one from the previous survey.<\/p>\n

Naftali Bennett’s Together party is projected to win 13 seats. The Democrats gain two seats to reach 11, while Yisrael Beiteinu gains one seat, also rising to 11. Otzma Yehudit wins nine seats, up one from the previous poll; United Torah Judaism loses one seat, falling to eight; and Shas remains unchanged at seven. Hadash-Ta’al gains two seats to reach six, while the United Arab List (UAL) holds steady at five. Religious Zionism gains one seat, rising to five.<\/p>\n

The poll also tested a scenario in which former Deputy Minister Yoav Segalovitz<\/a> of the Together party joins the United Arab List, while Hadash-Ta’al runs jointly with Balad. Under that scenario, the UAL rises to seven seats, while a Hadash-Ta’al-Balad alliance wins eight. The Arab parties would then hold a combined 15 seats, the coalition would fall to 49 seats, and the opposition parties that reject cooperation with the Arab factions would drop to 56 seats.<\/p>\n

The “Zionist Home” party<\/a>, which had cleared the electoral threshold in the previous three Channel 13 polls, falls below it this time with 3 percent support. Other parties failing to cross the threshold are Benny Gantz’s Blue and White (1.4 percent) and Balad (1.7 percent), both of which also fell short in recent polls.<\/p>\n

The poll was conducted by The Madad (Shmuel Rosner and Noah Slepkov) in cooperation with the Midgam Project (Dr. Ariel Ayalon), Askararia (Dudi Dror) and Statnet (Youssef Makladeh). The poll surveyed 988 respondents, with a maximum sampling error of 3.7 percent.<\/p>\n
